Istanbul by Mary Henry

Last month, I received very welcoming letters... One of it is from Mary Henry...

I lived in Istanbul 1956-1959. Istanbul was a magical city to me, Yes, andI did learn to speak Turkish. I have to admit my Turkish friends spokebetter English than I did Turkish. I had many Turkish friends who made mefeel at home. My daughter was born in Istanbul in a Turkish hospital with aTurkish doctor who couldn't speak English. My daughter and I had the bestof care. I loved Istanbul and the Turkish people then and I always will.Sincerely.Mary Henry
